I am thirteen years old, interested in travelling from melbourne to the goldcoast/brisbane, australia. Would my parents have to accompany me to the airport, would they have to sign forms or bring their own ID etc?

In the United States, it’s not a requirement for your parents to accompany you to the airport if you are over 11 but it’s safer especially if you are going to a foreign country. They would have to fill out a form requesting permission to take you all the way to the terminal. If they want the airline to watch out for you they have to pay about $ 60.00 each way. I am not sure how things are done in Melbourne.
You’re not going to be on an international flight from Melbourne to Brisbane. You won’t need your parents there. When your tickets are bought, your parents or guardians will have to show that you have permission to travel.
